About Me...
I
am a singer/songwriter trying to make it in the crazy business of
music. It has been a difficult road so far, but with all the music
sites I have out there, I'm hoping something will spark a fire with
someone. I have been writing my own songs for about 15 years now. The
music industry is hard to get into when you're trying to do it all by
yourself. I have met some very talented musicians and songwriters along
the way. Some, I have talked into playing for me or co-writing with me.
I send my songs out to many different possibilities, so I'm hoping 2010
is my year to break through! I did recently win a song contest online,
which was great. I shared 1st place in the judges category in that
contest and won $400. I enter contests as often as I can just to get my
songs in the hands of important music industry people. My ultimate goal
is to be the writing force behind some of the songs that you hear on
the radio today. I write mostly pop and country, but I am pretty
flexible when it comes to writing. I just write what I think sounds
good and what I think the listening public would enjoy. I tend to write
mostly from my own life's experiences and also from others' experiences. Reality-based lyrics is what I tend to try to hook the
listener in with. If I can touch someone's life with what I write, then
I am on the right track. I enjoy when someone comes up to me after
hearing me sing one of my songs and says, "I really loved that song. It
made me feel like I was right there in the moment, feeling what you
were feeling. I've been there too. I know what you feel." That means
more to me than anything. I want to thank my fans, family, and friends
for supporting me all these years. Without your continuing support, I
wouldn't be here doing what I love to do. So, thank you from the bottom
